Statement of Costs

We have a wealth of experience in preparing Statements of Costs for summary assessment, often catering for requests at short notice.

Often the last thing on your mind, especially when you are working on an urgent application, instruct us to prepare your costs statements. We will ensure that they are not only of the highest standard but are ready to be filed and served prior to the 24 hour court deadline.

We use our own custom made Statement of Costs. Increasing recoverability, given its clarity and the information it provides, it is easier to understand than the recommended (but not compulsory) form N260 and provides greater information and assists if an order for detailed assessment is made.

Schedules and Breakdowns

Schedules of Costs are often required prior to the preparation of a Bill of Costs for detailed assessment and are disclosed on a without prejudice basis in an attempt to save time and money. With this in mind, it is important that schedules are drafted correctly and are regularly prepared by our team in a highly efficient and cost effective manner.

Attention to detail is vital as, if an agreement cannot be reached on the basis of the Schedule, the costs claimed in the Bill of Costs should be consistent with those claimed in the Schedule. It’s important to note that such documents are often required in personal injury cases and are disclosed to insurers.
